"PM Narendra Modi to Unveil ₹23,000 Crore Agri-Initiatives on October 5"


Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to roll out a range of significant agricultural and animal husbandry initiatives totaling ₹23,300 crore during his visit to Maharashtra on Saturday. As part of these efforts, Modi will release the 18th instalment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, allocating ₹20,000 crore to benefit approximately 9.4 crore farmers in Washim, Maharashtra. This instalment will raise the total disbursements under PM-KISAN to around ₹3.45 lakh crore. Additionally, Modi will release ₹2,000 crore as the 5th instalment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate over 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), worth ₹1,920 crore. These projects include the establishment of custom hiring centres, warehouses, cold storage units, and post-harvest management facilities. In a bid to strengthen the agricultural sector, Modi will launch 9,200 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) with a combined turnover of ₹1,300 crore. He will also introduce new cattle breeding technologies, such as the Unified Genomic Chip and sex-sorted semen technology, designed to make breeding more cost-effective and efficient for farmers. In the renewable energy domain, Modi will dedicate five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 MW across Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana – 2.0. The event will also include recognition of beneficiaries from the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.
