BSL announce plans to establish two greenfield steel units.


 Bokaro steel plant has announce plan to established two green units each with a capacity of 5 million tone years however, the company primary focus remains on a brownfield project aim at increasing its crude steel production from the current 4.66 mtpa to 7.6 mtpa 2030.
Birendra Kumar Tiwari, Director in-charge of BSL, stated that the initial phase of the expansion will concentrate on enhancing production at the existing plant through the brownfield project.
"While we have the capacity to install two Greenfield projects, each with a capacity of 5 MTPA, our immediate priority is the brownfield expansion. We plan to invest in Greenfield projects after generating sufficient revenue from brownfield initiatives. BSL is committed to boosting production over the next five years and utilizing profits to fund the Greenfield projects," Tiwari explained.
